K Rend Silicone Renders for External Walls
K Rend silicone rendering for external walls combines compatible base coats, primers and decorative finishes to create a durable external render system. Different products are available for a range of substrates, application methods and finishes, so the correct specification will depend on the background and requirements of the project.
The range also includes K Rend one coat render options such as Silicone K1, K1 Spray+ and K Mono. Depending on the product and substrate, these may be applied as one coat in either one or two passes, directly onto a suitable background or over a compatible K Rend base coat.

Choosing a K Rend System for External Walls
- Through-coloured scraped render: A cement-based finish such as Silicone K1, applied directly to suitable backgrounds or over a compatible base coat.
- Silicone thin coat render: A lightweight finish applied over a prepared and primed base coat, available in different grain sizes.
- Base coats: Selected according to the substrate, suction and required system.
- Primers and accessories: Used where specified to prepare, reinforce or complete the system.
K Rend Alkali Resistant Reinforcement Mesh provides high strength, good cohesion, excellent coating and is widely used to reinforce walls. This is a genuine K Rend product, beware of cheap imitations!

K Rend Standard UF base coat is a high, general purpose render, for use over medium density blockwork as a primary coat for K Rend finishes, and is applied by hand or spray.

K Rend HP12 is a high-polymer base coat designed to provide improved adhesion and water resistance on difficult substrates. Suitable for hand or spray application, this K Rend base coat creates a reliable background for compatible K Rend finishes. Scrim cloth may be required in certain applications to reinforce the system.

K Rend HP14 base coat is a high polymer base designed to provide enhanced performance on difficult substrates. This cost effective solution is also used for its flexibility and high tensile strength on thin coat systems. It has increased water resistance and adhesion. It may be applied by hand or by spray and the use of scrim cloth may be required.

K Rend HPX Base offers extremely high performance render utilizing high polymer technology and fibres. It is used on unusual substrates requiring greater flexibility and adhesion. It may be hand or spray applied and usually requires the use of scrim cloth.

K Rend GP Mix is a premium external render mix suitable for float coats, scratch coats and masonry mortar. This dry, premixed render provides consistent proportions in every bag and requires only the addition of clean water before application.

K Rend R10 is a modified acrylic bonding coat designed to improve the adhesion of K Rend renders to difficult substrates, where the background does not provide sufficient key or has poor suction characteristics. R10 is a low odour, ready to use primer and is quick and easy to apply by roller or brush.

K Rend K1 Spray+ is a through-coloured, one-coat render designed for spray machine or hand application. Applied in two passes, it produces a fine-textured, low-maintenance finish suitable for new-build and refurbishment projects.

K Rend Silicone K1 is a cement-based, through-coloured render for creating a fine-textured, low-maintenance finish on external walls. Enhanced with silicone technology, it repels rainwater while remaining breathable, allowing water vapour to pass through the finished render. Suitable for both new-build and refurbishment projects, Silicone K1 can be applied by hand or render spray machine. Depending on the substrate, it can be applied directly in two passes or used as a finish over a suitable K Rend base coat. It can produce either a scraped texture or roughcast finish and is available in 20 standard colours. Because the colour runs throughout the render, the finished surface does not require painting.
