Baumit Complementary Render Products
Baumit complementary products support the correct application and performance of compatible façade and external wall insulation systems. The current range includes reinforcing mesh for base-coat layers and a specialist additive for applying selected topcoat renders in cooler, humid conditions.
Each product performs a specific system function and should only be used with the compatible Baumit materials identified in its technical guidance.
Complementary products must match the selected base coat, topcoat and overall Baumit system. SpeedTop is not a universal additive for every façade render, while StarTex should not be attached directly to the substrate or used without an approved embedding compound.
Always consult current Baumit technical data sheets for mixing ratios, application conditions, mesh positioning, overlaps and compatible system components.
Baumit SpeedTop is a cold-weather render additive for Baumit SilikonTop and GranoporTop. It promotes the formation of a protective surface film, helping the topcoat cure in cooler conditions and higher humidity within Baumit’s specified application limits. Ready to use additive for SilikonTop and GranoporTop.
