K Rend Base Coats for Medium Density Block
K Rend base coats recommended for use on medium density blockwork. The application of a base coat before the application of a K Rend scraped texture render on this specific substrate is not required although some applicators find applying a base coat does improve workability of the system due to working with thinner layers.
These base coats are recommended for use prior to the application of all K Rend TC finish renders.
K Rend Alkali Resistant Reinforcement Mesh provides high strength, good cohesion, excellent coating and is widely used to reinforce walls. This is a genuine K Rend product, beware of cheap imitations!

K Rend HP12 is a high polymer base coat designed to provide enhanced performance on difficult substrates. The improved formulation delivers increased water resistance and strong adhesion, making it suitable for use on challenging backgrounds. This K Rend base coat can be applied either by hand or spray. In certain applications, the use of a scrim cloth may be required to reinforce the system.
