K Rend Base Coats for Medium Density Block
Choose K Rend base coats for medium density blockwork according to the finish and preparation your project requires. This category includes Standard UF and HP12, together with reinforcement mesh for use where specified.
Standard UF is designed as a primary coat over medium density blocks before compatible K Rend finishes. Some scraped-render specifications permit application without a separate base coat, while thin-coat finishes require a suitable prepared base. Check the condition and suction of the blockwork alongside the chosen finish to establish which build-up is appropriate.
K Rend HP12 is a high-polymer base coat designed to provide improved adhesion and water resistance on difficult substrates. Suitable for hand or spray application, this K Rend base coat creates a reliable background for compatible K Rend finishes. Scrim cloth may be required in certain applications to reinforce the system.

K Rend Alkali Resistant Reinforcement Mesh provides high strength, good cohesion, excellent coating and is widely used to reinforce walls. This is a genuine K Rend product, beware of cheap imitations!
