K Rend Base Coats for External Insulation Board
Prepare the reinforced render layer of an external wall insulation system with K Rend HP14 Base Coat and compatible alkali-resistant mesh. HP14 is formulated for insulating backgrounds, including specified polystyrene, phenolic and mineral wool boards.
The base coat and embedded reinforcement form part of the system beneath the decorative finish. Product selection must therefore take account of the insulation type, fixing arrangement and intended topcoat. This cost effective solution is also used for its flexibility and high tensile strength on thin coat systems. It has increased water resistance and adhesion.
