Rendering over cement particle board requires a system approved for the specific board and its supporting construction. A compatible base coat with reinforcement mesh forms the preparation layer before the decorative render is applied.

Before selecting materials, confirm that the board is an approved render carrier and check the requirements for board joints, fixings and movement detailing. Compatibility must be established for the complete wall build-up, rather than relying on the board’s description alone.
