Fassacouche Rognes 25kg

This mineral-pigmented monocouche render is designed for projects where a deeper, warmer exterior is preferred to the pale creams, whites and greys commonly used on rendered properties. Rognes can give a full façade a distinctive identity or be introduced selectively to emphasise architectural features. Its warm character pairs naturally with clay roof tiles, timber, brick and stone, while contrasting effectively with darker doors and window frames.

Use

Fassacouche is used as a through coloured render for exteriors, on both new and existing buildings, over medium density (1,400 to 1,800 kg/m³) concrete blockwork compliant with BS 771-3 : 2011, with a compressive strength of 7.3 N/mm².

FASSACOUCHE is not recommended for use on gypsum coatings.

As well as determining the colour of the wall, Fassacouche provides its weather-protective outer render coat. The material remains permeable to water vapour while achieving a W2 rating for resistance to liquid water absorption.

Application guidance:

Fassacouche Rognes is intended for suitable medium-density concrete blockwork on new and existing buildings. The substrate must be sound, correctly prepared and free from dust, grease and efflorescence before work begins.

The render can be prepared by hand or with compatible mixing and spraying equipment. When hand mixing, add the specified quantity of clean water and mix for approximately five minutes. Apply the prepared material within 30 minutes.

Product specification:

  • Product type: Semi-lightweight through-coloured render
  • Shade: Rognes
  • Manufacturer colour code: 1117E
  • Composition: Natural lime, white cement, sand and mineral pigments
  • Application: Manual or render machine
  • Minimum applied thickness: 12mm
  • Finish choices: Scratched, floated, sponge floated or smooth
  • Classification: EN 998-1 OC-CSII-W2
  • Packaging: Moisture-resistant 25kg sack

Fassacouche is not recommended for application over gypsum coatings. When using a scratched finish, additional material should be applied to allow approximately 2mm to be removed during the scraping process.
