The above property had cracked around the openings due to minor movement occuring in the substrate. Mendrend fissure infill was used to fill the cracks, and then a colour-matched coat of Mendrend Penetrating Acrylic was applied to the entire elevation to provide a uniform finish. Please click the thumbnail images for a larger picture. We were called to this property as Graffiti "artists" had decided to leave their mark. Our technicians performed an on-site colour-match, and used Mendrend Penetrating Acrylic to re-colour the render and blend into the surrounding area.                     Before                                          After

We were called to the site in the above pictures as the client had experienced cracking on a newly built property, which they had then attempted to repair by hacking out the render around the crack and then re-instating it. There are numerous sources that indicate if cracking occurs the render should be hacked away and then re-instated, but this is something we do not recommend doing with through coloured cement renders, as they tend to dry differing shades of colour depending how they've been applied so obtaining an exact colour match is near impossible. There are also the issues of the joints being usually very visible, and the re-applied render is also completely inflexible, which makes the chances of the cracking re-occuring very high. You should be able to see in the above picture that this is very evident, and in order to rectify this our technicians had to re-texture the existing render to try to minimise the visibility of any joints in the render, then apply a colour-matched coat of Mendrend Penetrating Acrylic, to stabilise the colour of the elevation and provide a uniform finish.
